In the wee hours of the morning I grabbed my camera and my iPhone to do a little light painting.  With a time exposure and the light from my cell phone, it’s possible to create different images than one usually sees.
The night-blooming cereus flower is a spectacular bloom that opens about 11 pm and starts to fade by 5 am as the first light of dawn creeps over the desert.

A night-blooming Cereus displays a 6-8 inch white blossom that only lasts the night.
